Water Testing

American Water Services has an in house state certified microbiological lab for testing drinking water.  We provide water testing for new line installations, boil water notices after repairs have been made, source water testing, or routine sampling.  We offer after hours testing to allow public water system to confirm the water is safe and lift boil water notices as soon as possible.  We currently perform this testing for our own water systems in addition to other county, city, and community water systems throughout North Georgia.  We also provide testing for critical facilities such as schools, hospitals, doctors offices, and other facilities where it is important to make sure the water is safe following a plumbing repair.

In addition to microbiological testing, we can perform most mineral tests in house.  This testing is not certified for compliance samples, but it can be used to determine any water quality issues or to determine if water treatments are working properly.  A list of mineral we can test for are listed below.

Alkalinity, Arsenic, Conductivity, Copper, Fluoride, Hardness, Iron, Manganese, Nitrate, Nitrite, ORP, pH, Phosphate, Salinity, Silica, Sulfate, Tannins, TDS, Turbidity.
